Day 1
Quarterly Monitoring Visits on 14-11-2022
In Quarterly Monitoring Visits of Narowal, Government Technical & Vocational Training School (GTTS) was the first stop where students of beautician and tailoring classes were the participants. In discussion, they told PRCS – PHQ team about the usefulness of First Aid skills and have applied skills in case of chemical burn. Moreover, teachers appreciated the practical approach in this scenario.
The second stop was Madrassa Ali Pur Shareef, Narowal, where more than 300 students from different walks of life sought religious education. Students demonstrated basic life-saving skills.
The last stop of the day was Basic Health Unit (BHU), Alipur Shareef, Narowal, where Lady Health Supervisor, Ms. Kubra briefed PRCS – PHQ First Aid Team about the training session conducted with Lady Health Workers who are working directly in the field and serving the community and dealing with dangers. Further, she told that the field staff applied the learned basic life-saving skills in dealing with minor injuries and burns. Lastly, they all appreciated the learning and practical approach provided by PRCS – PHQ Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Program.
Day 2
15-11-2022
During the meeting, the stress was on close coordination with emergency response agencies in first aid training and responses, capacity building of FAR Volunteers, Provision of ambulances in case of emergency, and promoting the dengue campaign.
Meanwhile, in Narowal, a FAR Team Volunteer provided assistance to some serious causalities due to a severe accident, called Rescue 1122, and transported them to the hospital.
In addition, 16 FAR team volunteers, 8 males and 8 females
completed CADRE training from Rescue 1122. EDHI and other private ambulance service drivers will get First Aid Training from PRCS – PHQ
Lastly, under District Health Authority, Narowal, first aid training will be given to more field staff of BHUs.
Quarterly Monitoring Visits and Coordination Meetings with First Aid Response Team and District Stakeholders, Narowal took place from 14th November 2022 to 15th November 2022.
