Celebrations of International Volunteer Day, 2022

It offers an opportunity for volunteers involving organizations and individual volunteers to promote volunteerism, encourages governments to support volunteer efforts, and recognizes volunteer contributions in the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals at local, national, and international levels.
In this regard, the Punjab Red Crescent Society, PHQ, celebrated International Volunteer Day, 2022 under the theme of Solidarity through Volunteering to promote volunteerism’s mandate locally and pay tribute to the tireless and priceless efforts of volunteers of the Punjab Red Crescent Society, PHQ.
Honorable Chairman, Punjab Red Crescent Society, PHQ, Justice (R) Sheikh Ahmed Farooq was the chief guest. Member Management Committee, PRCS – Punjab Branch, Azam Khan, and Secretary, PRCS – Punjab Branch, Muhammad Zahid were also present.
In his address, the Chairman of PRCS – Punjab Branch, Justice (R) Sheikh Ahmed Farooq said encouraging words in paying tribute to volunteers for their tireless efforts and advised them to stay focused on performing duties for Humanity with Punjab Red Crescent Society. He further stated that volunteerism requires dedication and strong commitment.
In the end, a cake-cutting ceremony also took place on International Volunteer Day, 2022.
