Under the Youth Mobilization Program 2025, an awareness session was organized by Red Crescent Punjab at Government Associate College Dhok Kala Khan to educate students about humanitarian values and volunteerism.
- Recitation of the Holy Quran – The session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
- Awareness on RC/RC Movement – Students were provided with detailed insights into the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, its history, fundamental principles, and global humanitarian efforts. The significance of neutrality, impartiality, and voluntary service was emphasized, along with the Movement’s role in disaster response, first aid, and community welfare. The session aimed to inspire students to actively contribute to humanitarian causes and understand the impact of volunteerism in crisis situations.
- Establishment of Youth and Volunteer Club – A discussion was held regarding the formation of a Youth and Volunteer Club at the college to create a structured platform for students to participate in social welfare and disaster management activities. The club would enable students to engage in first aid training, disaster preparedness programs, blood donation drives, and other community support initiatives under the guidance of the Red Crescent. The objective was to develop a spirit of social responsibility and leadership among the students while preparing them to serve in emergencies.
- Volunteer Motivation and Registration – Students were actively encouraged to join as volunteers and take part in humanitarian efforts, recognizing the importance of their contribution to society.
- Volunteer Registrations – As a result of the session, a total of 42 students from Government Associate College Dhok Kala Khan registered as volunteers, showing their commitment to humanitarian work and social responsibility.
