PRCS Punjab Conducts One-Day First Aid Training

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab organized a one-day first aid training in collaboration with Special Olympics Punjab region, specifically designed for mothers of special athletes. The training was held at the Garrison School for Special Education, Girja Chowk, Lahore.

 

Training Objectives
The training aimed to equip mothers of special athletes with essential first aid skills and knowledge, enabling them to respond effectively in emergency situations and provide care to their children.

Training Content
The training covered basic first aid techniques, including:

1. Basic Life Support: Understanding the importance of basic life support and how to provide care in emergency situations.
2. Injury Management: Learning how to manage injuries, such as wounds, fractures, and burns.
3. Emergency Response: Understanding how to respond to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, seizures, and allergic reactions.

Training Outcomes
The training was attended by a group of dedicated mothers, who gained hands-on experience and knowledge in basic first aid techniques. Upon completion, participants were equipped with:

1. Essential First Aid Skills: Participants learned how to respond effectively in emergency situations and provide basic care to their children.
2. Increased Confidence: Participants gained confidence in their ability to provide first aid, enabling them to care for their children more effectively.
3. Certification: Participants received certificates upon completion, recognizing their achievement and encouraging them to apply their new skills.

Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony was graced by Abdul Majid Chaudhary, Vice Chairman PRC Punjab, who awarded certificates to the participants. This gesture highlighted PRCS Punjab’s commitment to empowering communities and promoting humanitarian values.
