Relief Efforts for Flood-Affected Families in District Nankana

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab, with the support of the Turkish Red Crescent, organized a comprehensive relief operation for families affected by floods in District Nankana. The initiative was led by Governor of Punjab and President PRCS Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, along with Chairman Mian Muhammad Hanif (Sitara-e-Imtiaz).

Relief Highlights

  • 200 Dry Ration Packs distributed

  • 1,500 Cooked Food Packs distributed

  • Free Medical Camp established, offering consultations and free medicines to patients

The relief activities were carried out in Nawankot Her’raywala, Bichokey, and Jeewanpura, ensuring much-needed assistance reached the most vulnerable communities.

Relief Distribution Team

The relief distribution was conducted under strong supervision to ensure transparency and efficiency:

  • Team Leaders: Abdul Majid Ch. and Ch. Akhtar, Members of the Managing Committee

  • Overall Supervision: Rao Zaka-ur-Rehman, Deputy Secretary, with operational oversight by Muhammad Imran, Assistant Director First Aid

  • Medical Services: Supervised by Fauzia Saeed, Deputy Director Health

Through the dedication of the PRCS Punjab team and the support of Turkish Red Crescent, essential food and medical relief were successfully delivered to hundreds of families in need.
