𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐑𝐂𝐒 𝐏𝐇𝐐 𝐋𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 “𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦”

The Youth and Volunteer Department of PRCS PHQ Lahore organized a seminar on “Pakistan Red Crescent Society and Volunteerism” at Government Graduate College for Women Baghbanpura, Lahore on 30-01-2023 (Monday).
The students and faculty members of the College attended the session. The Principal of the College Dr. Farzana Shaheen was the Chief Guest at the Seminar.
Rao Zaka Ur Rehman/ Assistant Director of Youth and Volunteer delivered a detailed lecture regarding the core functions of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society and the Role of students / Volunteers in the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.
While addressing the participants. Rao Zaka said that volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference in the lives of people, animals, and organizations in need. He also apprised the participants that volunteering is a two-way street: it can benefit you and your family as much as the cause you choose to help. Moreover, dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you to make new friends. He also highlighted that the PRCS is Volunteer based network and volunteers are the backbone of PRCS.
At the end of the session, the Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society and encouraged the students to join the PRCS Punjab as a volunteer.
