A discussion session on Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) was conducted with youth forums, focusing on their role in strengthening climate resilience and community-based risk reduction.
Participants shared practical experiences, existing community practices, and challenges in implementing NBS at the local level. Key challenges included limited resources, lack of community awareness, space constraints, and the sustainability of interventions.
The participants explored feasible and low-cost solutions, including tree plantation, rainwater management, green spaces, and community greening initiatives. The session concluded with an agreement on follow-up actions, including identifying priority community needs, engaging relevant stakeholders, and developing feasible youth-led NBS initiatives.
