The five-day Branch Disaster Response Team (BDRT) Training, organized by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch, successfully concluded with a closing and certificate distribution ceremony at the Civil Defence Academy, Lahore.
The ceremony was graced by PRCS Punjab Managing Committee Members Mr. Abdul Majid Choudhry and Mr. Liaquat Ali, along with Secretary PRCS Punjab Mr. Rao Zaka-ur-Rehman, who appreciated the efforts of the participants and facilitators in strengthening disaster preparedness and emergency response capacities.
The event was also attended by NHQ BDRT Facilitators Mr. Arif Ali and Mr. Raja Adeel, who joined the PRCS Punjab team in recognizing the successful completion of the training.
Throughout the five-day training, participants engaged in practical learning, emergency response exercises, disaster management tools, sectoral interventions, information management, coordination, and a comprehensive Simulation Exercise (SIMEX). These activities enhanced their field-level knowledge, teamwork, coordination, and emergency response skills.
Certificates were distributed among the successful participants, while facilitators were also appreciated for their valuable contribution and dedication throughout the training. Goodie bags were presented to participants as part of the closing ceremony.
The PRCS Punjab Branch remains committed to strengthening disaster preparedness by developing a skilled, trained, and coordinated response force capable of effectively supporting communities during emergencies and disasters.
