Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) was founded on 20th December 1947, by an Order called “The Pakistan Red Cross Order” and constituted and governed by an “Act of Parliament” issued by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as the Governor General of Pakistan and Founding President of the Society. As Pakistan’s first and largest humanitarian organization, Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) works to help and empower vulnerable individuals and communities without partiality or discrimination.

Our Movement

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is proudly part of the world’s largest humanitarian network, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. This global collective comprises the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and 190 National Societies, including PRCS. As an active member, PRCS leverages this global platform to enhance humanitarian response and coordination, share knowledge and expertise, advocate for humanitarian law and policy reforms, and foster international cooperation and solidarity.
