A significant milestone in advancing healthcare services was achieved with the successful inauguration of the Blood Bank, Thalassemia & Hemophilia Centre at Silver Jubilee Maternity & Children Hospital. This initiative was undertaken by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society in collaboration with the District Red Crescent Branch Sahiwal.

The project was envisioned under the leadership of Syed Mehboob Qadir Shah and was effectively facilitated by the District Red Crescent Branch Sahiwal in close coordination with the district administration. The renovation of the building was generously funded by Sheikh Muhammad Afzal.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by distinguished guests including:

The event was meticulously organized by Dr. Hafiza Nighat Parveen and led by Fauzia Saeed along with her dedicated team including Dr. Javed, Mr. Imran, Dr. Kumail, Mr. Amjad, and Mr. Khalid.

This initiative marks a vital step towards strengthening healthcare services for patients suffering from thalassemia and hemophilia, ensuring improved access to essential blood and treatment facilities in the region.
