World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2026 Celebrated with Enthusiasm

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society proudly celebrated World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2026 on 8th May 2026 with great enthusiasm and dedication. The day is observed worldwide each year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Henry Dunant, born on 8th May 1828, and to recognize the outstanding humanitarian services of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

This year’s theme, “United in Humanity,” highlighted the fundamental principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality that guide Red Cross and Red Crescent societies around the world.

A cake-cutting ceremony was organized as part of the celebrations, where dedicated volunteers actively participated and contributed their valuable support in arranging and preparing the World RC/RC Day activities.

The event was successfully conducted through the collective efforts and cooperation of the Assistant Director, First Aid, Youth & Volunteer Officer, Media Manager, PRC staff, and volunteers, reflecting the spirit of teamwork and humanitarian service.
