PRCS Punjab Branch Conducts Road Safety Awareness Session under “Safe to School, Safe to Home” Initiative

Under the Global Road Safety Initiative, the Youth & Volunteer Department of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch successfully conducted Day 1 of a three-day Road Safety Awareness Session at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dev Samaj Road Lahore on 25 February 2025, with 31 female students actively participating.

The session was led by Mr. Mudassar Habib, Youth & Volunteer Officer, PRCS Punjab, along with a Road Safety Trainer and a dedicated volunteer.

Mr. Mudassar Habib opened the program with an introduction to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and PRCS, highlighting its humanitarian mission, Fundamental Principles, and key services.

The technical session on Road Safety Modules—developed under the Global Road Safety Partnership—was delivered by Mr. Ali Hassan, Road Safety Trainer.

An interactive activity titled “Find Black Spots on the Road”, facilitated by volunteer Miss Kainat Ramzan, enabled students to identify high-risk areas and understand practical preventive measures for safer road use.

The session aimed to strengthen students’ awareness of safe road behaviors and promote safer journeys from school to home.
