LAHORE: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch organized a Stakeholder Mapping and Engagement Activity at its Provincial Headquarters under the YOUR-CAP Project, bringing together young volunteers and representatives from key sectors to strengthen collaboration on urban climate resilience.
The activity was attended by 18 young volunteers, along with representatives from local government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the private sector. The session was facilitated by Y&V Officer Rashid Ali.
The activity focused on identifying and mapping key stakeholders working in areas relevant to urban climate resilience, while enabling participants to analyze stakeholder roles through influence and interest matrices. The exercise aimed to help young volunteers better understand how different institutions and organizations can contribute to climate resilience initiatives.
Speaking during the session, participants emphasized the importance of strong partnerships, coordinated action and meaningful youth engagement in addressing the growing challenges posed by climate change in urban communities.
The activity also provided a platform for participants to explore opportunities for strategic partnerships and future collaboration in support of upcoming youth-led initiatives across Punjab.
The PRCS Punjab Branch continues to promote youth participation and multi-stakeholder collaboration as key elements of effective climate action and community resilience.
