CHINIOT, September 8, 2026: The inauguration ceremony of Ali Fatima Housing Society, Chiniot, was held under the auspices of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch. Punjab Governor and President PRCS Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, was the chief guest at the ceremony.
The event was attended by Chairman PRCS Punjab Mian Muhammad Hanif (SI), Mr. Aslam Tareen, Syed Mahboob Qadir Shah, Choudhary Akhtar Ali, Brigadier (Retd.) Muhammad Arshad, former Vice Chairman PRCS Punjab Arif Suriya, Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab General Secretary and land donor Syed Hassan Murtaza, PRCS officials and staff, deserving families, and other distinguished guests.
The ceremony began with the arrival of the chief guest and other distinguished guests, followed by the unveiling of the commemorative plaque and a collective prayer. Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan also visited the housing society and inspected the completed houses, mosque, community park, underground sewerage system, and solar infrastructure.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Mahboob Qadir Shah introduced the project and highlighted its humanitarian and welfare significance for deserving families. Syed Hassan Murtaza also addressed the gathering. His contribution of land for the housing project was acknowledged and appreciated, along with his efforts toward supporting deserving families and promoting public welfare.
In his address, Punjab Governor and President PRCS Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan appreciated the humanitarian services and welfare initiatives of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Punjab. He also commended the efforts of all stakeholders who contributed to the successful completion of the project.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal handover of 26 completed homes to deserving families. House keys and allotment letters were distributed among the beneficiaries, providing them with safe, dignified, and permanent housing.
Ali Fatima Housing Society comprises 26 residential houses, a mosque, a community park, an underground sewerage system, and solar infrastructure, providing essential facilities to the beneficiary families.
According to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Punjab, the inauguration of Ali Fatima Housing Society and the handover of homes to deserving families marks an important milestone in its humanitarian service journey. The project reflects the organization’s commitment to providing dignified housing and sustainable community facilities to vulnerable and underprivileged segments of society.
