Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch deployed its staff and volunteers to conduct a Rapid Needs Assessment (RNA) in flood-affected areas of Sialkot, particularly in Head Marala and its catchment villages.

Situation Overview:
Severe flash and urban flooding has occurred due to overflow of Nala Palkhu and, to some extent, water discharge from Head Marala.
Catchment villages are inundated with 4–6 feet of water.
Rising water levels are affecting areas including Puli Top Khana, Allah Wala, Kala Khamra, Grorata, Paghal, Hassanwal, Charrdi Kotli, and Shadi Ala.
Crops and houses are submerged, with damage assessment underway by the DDMA.
Rescue operations are ongoing with support from Civil Defence and Rescue 1122.
Immediate Needs Identified:
Cooked food support in coordination with District Administration.
First aid for injured and affected individuals.
Deployment of a Mobile Medical Camp.
Additional Observations:
One woman and her daughter were reported dead; their bodies have not yet been recovered.
Majority of the population has self-migrated to host families.
No unaccompanied or separated minors reported.
No Restoring Family Links (RFL) needs identified.
Electricity supply is partially functional; communication networks are active but limited.
Rain emergency has been declared, but a flood relief camp has not yet been established.
Persistent rainfall in the last 24 hours continues to worsen the urban flooding situation.
PRCS Action:
RNA conducted and first aid provided.
PRCS staff and RFL volunteers deployed.
Coordination with stakeholders recommended; DRCB Sialkot to be connected with field teams for further assessment.
