Lahore: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab successfully organized a one-day blood collection camp at the Institution of Education and Research (IER), University of the Punjab, Lahore. The camp resulted in the collection of 35 blood units, which will be utilized for the treatment of children suffering from thalassemia.

Dr. Shaukat Ali, Honorary Treasurer, PRCS Punjab, visited the camp as the Guest of Honour. He reviewed the arrangements and appreciated the efforts of the organizers, ensuring the smooth and effective execution of the activity. On behalf of PRCS Punjab, he presented a shield to the Director, IER Department, and distributed certificates of appreciation among blood donors and organizers in recognition of their valuable contributions to this humanitarian cause.
PRCS Punjab was also honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Qayyum Ch., Director, IER Department, who actively participated in the blood donation camp, reflecting the institution’s strong commitment to promoting health awareness and humanitarian initiatives.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Maria Fatima, Secretary Student Affairs, IER Department, Punjab University, and Dr. Sami Ullah, Chairman, Students Affairs Committee. Their presence underscored the importance of promoting blood donation awareness among students and the academic community.
PRCS Punjab continues to strengthen partnerships with academic institutions to promote voluntary blood donation and support life-saving healthcare services across the province.
