PRCS Punjab Conducts One-Day First Aid Orientation Workshop for School Teachers

Lahore: The Youth & Volunteer Department of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch successfully organized a One-Day First Aid Orientation Workshop for school teachers under the Road Safety Program “Safe to School, Safe to Home” Project, as part of the Youth & Volunteer Road Safety 2.0 Program.

The session commenced with a detailed presentation on the history and humanitarian mandate of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, along with an overview of PRCS Punjab Branch and its various departments. The presentation was delivered by Mudassar Habib Jami, Youth & Volunteer Officer, PRCS Punjab.

Teachers from 15 government schools actively participated in the workshop, which included comprehensive theoretical and practical first aid training. The hands-on sessions covered CPR, choking, fractures, burns, shock, fainting, and bandaging, equipping participants with essential skills to respond effectively to emergencies within school environments.

The training was facilitated by Muhammad Imran Latif, Assistant Director First Aid, Mudassar Habib Jami, Youth & Volunteer Officer Punjab, and Zeeshan Ashfaq, Assistant Youth & Volunteer, with the support of professional volunteers Mr. Ali Hassan and Ms. Bisma Irfan.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Mehmood Qadir Shah, Secretary General, PRCS Punjab, as Chief Guest, who appreciated the efforts of PRCS in promoting road safety awareness, emergency preparedness, and humanitarian values among educators. At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates and souvenirs were distributed among the participating teachers.
