Punjab Governor and Chinese Consul General Inaugurate Free Dispensary in Ratwal, Fateh Jang
Governor Punjab and President of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan , along with Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Sun Yang , formally inaugurated a PRCS Free Dispensary in the remote area of Ratwal, Tehsil Fateh Jang, District Attock .
The initiative is part of the vision of Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, under which PRCS Punjab Chairman Mian Muhammad Hanif (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) is expanding the network of free dispensaries in underserved areas of the province to ensure access to basic healthcare facilities for people in need.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that providing quality healthcare facilities at the doorstep of the people is one of the key priorities of the Pakistan Red Crescent. He said the establishment of free dispensaries in remote areas is an important step towards improving public health and ensuring timely medical treatment for local communities.
The ceremony was attended by PRCS Punjab Secretary Rao Zaka-ur-Rehman, Assistant Secretary Muhammad Rizwan Sabir, Medical Officer Dr. Kamil, Zeeshan Ashfaq , senior officials, representatives of the local administration, community leaders, and a large number of local residents.
It was informed during the ceremony that the building of the Ratwal Free Dispensary was constructed with the support of the People’s Republic of China . In accordance with the directives of Chairman Mian Muhammad Hanif, all administrative, medical, and operational expenses of the dispensary will be borne by the PRCS Punjab Branch, ensuring the provision of free medical treatment and medicines to the local population on a sustainable basis.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the distinguished guests visited various sections of the dispensary and inspected its facilities. The project was described as a remarkable example of Pakistan-China friendship and humanitarian service , reflecting the shared commitment of both countries to improving the lives of vulnerable communities
