Groundbreaking Ceremony of Gulshan-e-Red Crescent Colony, District Chiniot

On 5 February, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch formally inaugurated the construction of Gulshan-e-Red Crescent Colony in District Chiniot, Moza Rajoha Sadaat. The housing project comprises 25 residential units aimed at providing safe and dignified shelter to families affected by recent floods.

The groundbreaking ceremony was graced by the Secretary General, Pakistan Red Crescent Society Punjab Branch, Mr. Mehboob Qadir Shah, along with former Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Punjab, Mr. Hassan Murtaza, and Youth and Volunteers Officer Punjab, Mr. Mudassar Habib Jami.

This initiative underscores PRCS’s continued commitment to supporting disaster-affected communities by delivering durable, dignified, and sustainable shelter solutions. The launch of this housing project marks a significant milestone in the post-flood recovery process, offering renewed hope, stability, and improved living conditions to vulnerable families.

Through this intervention, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society reaffirms its humanitarian mandate to assist vulnerable communities and contribute to long-term resilience, rehabilitation, and sustainable recovery efforts.
